We will be exploring the topic of patriots and loyalist during the American Revolution using examples from family members of both the Pierce and Quincy families. Students will learn how propagandistic images like Paul Revere’s “Bloody Massacre” engraving have power and need to be analyzed critically to uncover the truth before creating their own engravings of scenes of the Boston Massacre from multiple perspectives and writing persuasive letters with quill pens.
